Website maintenance cost calculator
Estimate a monthly and annual range in INR for keeping an Indian business site online. The figure is a budget band, not a DigitalXBrand quote.
A range for budgeting, before you ask for a quote
Indian SMEs usually meet website maintenance as a monthly retainer: updates, backups, a security watch, and someone to call when a form stops sending mail. The number moves with the kind of site, how many templates you run, how much traffic has to stay up, and how fast you need a reply.
This calculator asks for four inputs. Site type is brochure, WordPress, ecommerce, or custom app. Page count is the number of indexable or editable pages, not the number of design files. Traffic is a monthly band, not a precise analytics export. Support level is basic, standard, or premium, described under the control.
The output is a monthly INR range and the same range times twelve. No annual discount is applied. GST is not included. A pricing article on this site notes 18% GST on agency services; TODO(owner): confirm that this tool should keep showing pre-GST amounts. The bands themselves live in one config file and carry the same owner check: TODO(owner): confirm ranges in lib/tools/maintenance-cost-ranges.ts before anyone treats them as a published price list.
Use the low end when the site is quiet and the scope is updates plus backups. Use the high end when the site takes orders, runs many plugins, or needs a person on the same day. Then read the website maintenance cost in India guide for what a retainer should list in writing, and the maintenance service page if you want DigitalXBrand to scope the work. A related check for Indian sites is the DPDP website readiness checker.
Redesigns, new features, catalogue uploads, and ad spend are outside this range. Hosting you pay to a separate provider is outside it too, unless a written quote says hosting management is included.

Ask for a written quoteQuestions about the calculator
Is this calculator a quote from DigitalXBrand?
No. It shows an indicative monthly and annual range in INR so you can budget. A quote needs a look at the actual site, its plugins or dependencies, and what you want covered. TODO(owner): confirm the ranges in lib/tools/maintenance-cost-ranges.ts before the team cites them in proposals.
What do basic, standard, and premium change?
Basic is email support, security updates, and backups on a shared queue. Standard adds business-hours response, a short monthly note, and a named contact. Premium adds faster response, a staging check before updates, and a tighter uptime watch. Hours and response times are not a contract until they are written into a maintenance agreement.
Does the range include GST?
The range is before GST. A pricing article on this site notes 18% GST on agency services. TODO(owner): confirm that this calculator should keep showing amounts exclusive of GST.
How is the annual figure calculated?
Annual is the monthly low and high multiplied by 12. No annual discount is applied. If a retainer offers a discount for paying yearly, that belongs in the written quote, not in this tool.
What is not included?
New page design, a redesign, ad spend, copywriting projects, catalogue uploads, and feature development are outside a maintenance range. Those are scoped separately. Hosting invoices from your own provider are also separate unless a quote says hosting management is included.
Which site type should I pick?
Brochure is a mostly static marketing site. WordPress is a CMS site with plugins. Ecommerce is a store with checkout. Custom app is a product with logins, an API, or a database, including many Next.js builds. If the site is a store on WordPress, pick ecommerce.
